On Saturday the day-trippers took a (thankfully air conditioned!) coach to Audley End. We picnicked under the shade of some trees whilst watching cricket in what must be one of the most picturesque settings for a game. The lovely house was full of things to enjoy, including over 300 paintings, a nursery, a private chapel and a lot of Victorian taxidermy which seemed a bit less popular! The gardens were delightful and fortunately next to the ice cream shop.

Thank you for braving the heat to join us!
