WEDNESDAY SOCIALS

These are opportunities for an informal gathering in a relaxed environment. Come and have a glass of wine or a coffee and meet some new people or chat to old friends. The socials are held on the first Wednesday of the month, from 6:30 – 8:00pm. Check our Events Diary for venue.

LITTLE FISHES

Little Fishes is a parent toddler play group that meets on Thursday mornings during term time in the St John’s Church Hall, from 10am to 11:30am.

MEN'S MEALS

These are usually held on the first Monday of the month at a local restaurant. An opportunity for fellowship with some prayer and ministry.

LADIES' NIGHT

An opportunity for coffee, chat and maybe an activity or two for those who want it, these socials are usually held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:45pm in the Mary Cotton Hall. It’s a drop-in session, with a donation for coffee; very informal and hopefully a time for the ladies to relax and get to know each other better.

MOTHERS' UNION

The Buckhurst Hill branch of the Mothers’ Union meets once a month (September to June) on a Monday evening at 8pm in St John’s Church. It is a gathering of friendly ladies (although men are very welcome) of all ages who support the ideals of the Mothers’ Union. 

CHURCHYARD GARDENING

Our beautiful churchyard is looked after entirely by a group of volunteers who meeting on a Wednesday morning (weather and season permitting) to do all the necessary work of keeping it looking its best. They garden from 9:30am until about 12:30pm and are always delighted to welcome new helpers. Tea, coffee and biscuits always available!
