Patronal Festival 2024

Join us for the St John's Patronal Festival 2024!

On Saturday 22nd July we will be visiting Leeds Castle, often called the prettiest castle in England. The castle is absolutely stunning with over 900 years of history, externally it is the epitomy of what you would expect from a castle which is first mentioned in the Domesday survey of 1086, but the inside exudes 1930's glamour as a result of its last chatelaine, Lady Baillie. As you might expect there are beautiful gardens and 500 acres of grounds, a ferry called The Black Swan takes visitors across the lake.

For families there are 3 fabulous adventure playgrounds, falconry displays, a maze and grotto, there is also a crazy golf course (for an additional small fee). Very excitingly as we are visiting in June there will be a sandy beach.

The coach will leave St John's at 9am and leave from Leeds Castle at 3pm. Ticket prices are £15 for children and £20 per adult.

On Sunday 23rd June we will have the annual church family BBQ in the Rectory Garden. Shaw's will be manning the grill, the Pimms will be cold and there is lots of room for the children to play. What could be a nicer way to end the weekend?
