Weekend of 24/25th March
On Saturday 24th March, 6.00-10.00pm we are having a party, with BBQ, music and karaoke for all family members to attend. Soft drinks will be provided, but if you would like something a little stronger, please bring a bottle. If you are able to attend, please let Lucy Folkes or the Parish Office know so we can be sure to cater adequately.
On Sunday 25th March, please stay after the 10.45am service for cake and refreshments.
A book will be available for you all to give Sarah an uplifting message of encouragement for her new role and future success.
|Mon 26th March, Tues 27th March, Wed 28th March||St John’s will be open between 8pm and 9pm. There will be interactive prayer stations set up, which are an opportunity to sit, reflect, pray and give yourself some space – these are also child friendly. Each evening will have a different style of music:
Monday – quiet, reflective, background music.
Tuesday – loud, modern, worshipful music.
Wednesday – there will be silence.
Why not carve out some space to reflect as we approach Easter? All are very welcome.
|Maundy Thurs 29th March||Maundy Thursday Communion Service at 8.00pm|
|The same prayer stations will be available. However, different times of the day will have a different style of music:
12.00-3.00pm quiet, reflective, background music
8.00-9.00pm loud, modern, worshipful music
|Easter breakfast will be served at 9.30am – please sign up on the sheet in the Church Narthex.
Services as usual at 8.45am, 10.45am (with Sunday groups) and 7pm. Come and join the celebration!
Fri 11th – Sun 13th May – Parish Weekend
Keep these dates free for our usual weekend of teaching, activities and fellowship. Forms and all necessary Parish weekend information will be available from the back of the Church – please collect your pack as soon as possible as childrens’ places are on a “first come, first served basis”.
New Alpha Course
Starting after Easter, we will be running a new Alpha course at our home on Wednesday evenings, from 7.30pm-9.30pm. Alpha is an opportunity to freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or a little as you wish. Each evening includes an informal supper, a short talk and a discussion where you can share your thoughts. Spaces are available, please speak to either of us for more information.

Tues 1st May – Sarah’s Licensing Service
My licensing is on Tuesday 1st May in the evening (time not finalised yet but probably about 7.00pm) in the parish of Brentford. Everyone from St John’s is warmly invited, and it would be great for as many people from St John’s to be there, to see me off!
I will shortly be emailing round a formal invitation with the details on it. In the meantime, please put the date in your diary and perhaps email me to say whether you plan to come? at: email@example.com
