10th Feb – Cake Sale

Thank you to all who baked and ate a lot of cake!

We raised £196.50.

That will buy the Easter Egg Hunt packs for 131 children.

131 children will hear and explore the Easter Story.

Please begin to pray that it will be more than a story and a chocolate egg.

A small team of us are meeting on 25th to plan the event and from that we will be able to give more details how you can pray and support this evangelistic opportunity.

Thank you all so much.

If you wanted to buy an egg on Sunday but we were sold out, I will be putting in another order nearer Easter. If you would like to order one, please email me at sam.lockstone@sjbh.org.uk

God Stories

We all have a story or testimony (perhaps we have many different stories) about what God has done for us and we should share our stories with each other and encourage each other.  Some people may not feel comfortable standing up and giving their testimony at the front of the church and others may not be ready to share at all, or wish to do so anonymously, so we have set up a new email address which is solely for the purpose of receiving your God stories.     god.stories@sjbh.org.uk

All stories will be read in confidence and shared without names on the website http://www.sjbh.org.uk.  They may also be used in a small booklet of God stories to be given out to anyone who enters the church.

Sat 16th Feb – The Winter Big Soup Share

Following the success of our Harvest Big Soup Share we are holding another Winter Soup Share.  Please come and join us at St Stephen’s Church, 12.00-3.00pm, to enjoy homemade soups and cakes.  All money raised will go towards the outside learning area at Buckhurst Hill Community Primary School.
