Sun 10th Feb – Cake Sale
We are having a cake sale to fund an outreach to children and their families this Easter time. It is the National Easter Egg Hunt.
The Meaningful Chocolate Company have partnered with Christian Publishing and Outreach to produce a yummy resource to engage families with the Easter story. The cost to provide this will be £1.50 per child.
Please could you make cakes and come along ready to buy and eat cake?
I shall also be selling the original milk chocolate egg. A Fairtrade, palm oil and plastic free product with a book of the Easter story. The RRP is £3.99 but you may wish to add a donation towards funding the National Easter Egg Hunt.

We will be meeting in St John’s Church at 8.00pm. This month, we have Canon Irene French coming to speak to us who is the MU Deanery Vice President. All welcome.
Thurs 14th Feb – Ladies’ Night Wine Tasting
Our next Ladies’ Night will be on Thursday 14 February at 7.45pm for 8pm. Jeremy will be introducing us to some selected Italian wines so come and enjoy the evening. There are only a limited number of places so it is the first come, first served booking system. As before, there is a small charge (£5.00 per head) for this event to cover the cost of the wine (nibbles will be provided free of charge).
If you would like to come for chat and coffee but not the wine tasting that is fine. Just let us know and we will add you to the ‘nibbles’ list (no charge for this category!)

“Thank you” from Buckhurst Hill Money Advice Service
Thank you to everyone who attended or gave donations towards the Buckhurst Hill Money Advice Service Quiz Evening recently.
We raised a grand total of £1086!
It was a good and close contest, but unfortunately it wasn’t until after the winning table had been announced and handed prizes, that St John’s table 12 quietly told me that the score from the marathon round hadn’t been added to the total, which would have made them the clear winners!
You were very gracious in accepting that it was about fundraising rather than hailing yourselves as winners, but I apologise and am very sorry for the error.
Thank you everyone for helping us to continue providing this much needed service to people in financial difficulties and debt. We have had a further two new clients since the quiz eve.
