Churchyard Gardening – thank you

Many thanks to the volunteers who turned up on Saturday to help with gardening.  Rotary Club have kindly donated a hundred or so crocus bulbs for our churchyard, and these were planted in the raised grass area by our car park.  Leaves were swept up from the front of the church and we tidied many of the war graves – earlier in the week these had all had visitors from St John’s school, who left two poppy crosses on each.  We also planted a new lime tree, just behind the hedge as you leave the car park.  If anyone has a moment to spare, any time – please can you fill a can and give it some water?  The more the better for newly planted trees…
