Sun 17th June – Full Immersion Baptism

We will be conducting a full immersion baptism on 17th June.  If anyone else would wish to also be baptised in this manner, please speak to Ian Farley.

Thursday Evening Worship 8.00-9.00pm

Each Thursday, there will be evening worship at St John’s from 8.00-9.00pm.  All welcome.


 Cake Sale – Thank You Message from Pauline

I really appreciate the wonderful support you have given me over the years.  The cake sale last Sunday for the Malawi project raised an amazing £245.  A BIG THANK YOU to Jo Coates too, for her faithful commitment running the cake sales.

The next cake sale will be on 6th May when proceeds will be donated to Christian Aid.

Fri 20th April – Youth Group Meeting

For all in school years 10-13, 7.30-9.00pm in St John’s Church.  This evening we will be showing a DVD and having a discussion on “No Ceiling to Hope”.

Fri 27th April – Youth Group Social

We will be holding a murder mystery evening.  More details to follow from the Youth Group team.


Sat 28th April – Haydn ‘The Creation’

The East London Chamber Orchestra will be performing Haydn’s ‘The Creation’ at St John’s Church.  7.00pm start.  Tickets are £15 in advance from Carole Mitchell

 Sun 29th April – Annual Parochial Church Meeting

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) will be held on 29th April. The meeting will be held in two parts: Finances will be dealt with during the 10.45am service and the election of Wardens/PCC members and other church business will be dealt with at 7.00pm. Only members of the Electoral Roll are able to vote or stand as PCC members – if you are not currently on the Electoral Roll and wish to be, please complete the necessary form which is available at the back of the Church or from the Parish Office. You can join the Electoral Roll if you have been baptised, are over 16 years of age, are a resident of the parish or have habitually attended St John’s for the last 6 months.

The current Electoral Roll will be revised from 2nd April.

 Election of PCC Members

If you would like to stand for election as a PCC member, please fill in one of the forms attached to the notice board in the church narthex and put your name on the associated sign-up sheet.  If you are currently a PCC member and are willing to stand again, please also follow the above instructions.

Messy Church has been changed to 6th May.

 Tues 1st May – Sarah’s Licensing Service

You are all warmly invited to attend the licensing of SARAH GUINNESS as Priest-in-charge of the Benefice of St Paul’s and St Faith’s, Brentford by the Bishop of Kensington, the Right Reverend Dr Graham Tomlin on Tuesday, 1st May at 7.30pm at St Paul’s Church, St Paul’s Road, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 0PN.

Refreshments will be served in the Hall.

Parking for 20 cars in St Paul’s CE school after 6.00pm or in The Butts after 6.30pm.

There will be no notices produced next week and the Parish Office will be closed on Friday 20th April.
